The first thing you'll notice about Singapore is it’s skyline and beautiful buildings. We are dedicating our room fragrance to these master artists and architects who made this possible. Architectural wonders range from Colonial buildings, Heritage food courts, Art Deco structures, Public Buildings to modern wonders.
As one drives from airport to downtown, we are delighted by Mr IM Pei’s Gateway and Sir Norman Foster’s South Beach tower.
Soon you would see the unmistakable Helix bridge and Art-Science museum on one hand and Gardens-by the bay on the other.
Contemporary architecture is not for you? No worries! Why not try the National Gallery, raffles hotel and black-and-white houses at Gillman barracks, which accommodates great food and art as well to delight all your senses.
Oh yes! Art. Afterall, art is a way of life in Asia! Most people think of Singapore as an economic hub, and often don't know it has amazing street art. Some of the art at common tourist spots include-
- August Rodin’s Thinking Man at Sentosa that the made in 1840 or so.
- Salvador Dali’s Newton and Botero’s bird at UOB plaza near Singapore river
- Marc Quinn’s Planet at Gardens by the bay
- Henry Moore’s Reclining Figure at OCBC
Just like many of these artists, we have tried to push the boundaries of olfactory creation and we bring you our homage to scent-art. The notes are made to remind you the warmth of the art combined with the freshness of surroundings.
The fresh top notes are mixed with spicy heart notes dominated with cinnamon and clove to remind you of the Asian experience.
To make it uniquely Singaporean, we have also added notes of Phalaenopsis Kilby Cassviola. We are sure you would have seen this Orchid at some hotel or office reception. This is one of the most beautiful Orchids, that looks like a surrealistic work of art.
We used this orchid to honour its beauty and also for its ‘Sweet-spicy" notes.
