Revival of Iconic Reves De Singapour® Perfume - 'Dreams of Singapore' was exactly that. Classic and brilliant mix of notes. We have relaunched it and hope you like this lovely Men's fragrance.
'Reves De Singapour' means "Dreams of Singapore" and it would have been the most suitable for those times when everyone was dreaming of a better tomorrow, and they worked together to create an amazing Singapore, as it is today.
While we reap the rewards of their hard work, it is time to respect the pioneer generation and thank them. Their vision in all industries and their intelligent, cumulative efforts made us who we are today.
Believe it or not, first colored TV landed in Singapore in 1974. 1960s catapulted the island's development trajectory by focising on industrialization & manufacturing. This made 1970s prosperous and Singapore reached full employment.
This prosperity brought happiness and excess cash, which transpired into Disco-fever, posh gatherings and even some wild parties. Singaporeans also saw rising of Malay pop stars. There was a surge in people watching Bruce Lee's movies, Kung fu fighting etc that resulted into higher entertainment taxes and even fines of long-hair for men.
Reves De Singapour has a very intriguing story. It seems that the scent was developed for Singapore Airlines , probably by Lancome as we found some antique bottle with double logo on the bottle. At this time Mr Dadi Balsara, founder of popular 'Perfumes of Singapore' and producer of 'Singapore Girl' perfume was upset with the situation. However, we also found some text hinting that eventually it was Mr Dadi, who started producing Reves De Singapour. If you know more about these times and perfumes by Mr Dadi, please help us. We would love to hear from you.
