Orchard and Orchids™ Room Fragrance
Orchard Road was lined with numerous gambier farms, pepper farms, spice gardens and fruits in 1830’s. The Room Scent "Orchard and Orchids™" is created with these notes and lot of Orchids that now grow on trees everywhere in Orchard Area.
Interestingly, Orchard Road was an unnamed road in 1820's map of Singapore by George Coleman. There were no nutmeg and fruit plants yet. In 1840, when fruits were planted, the unnamed street was called "Orchard Street" and that's what it is called today.
This got the popular street it’s original name. The plantations started to disappear in the 1960s because of falling nutmeg prices and disease.
Soon it developed as a market place and now is one of the poshest shopping area in Asia. Today's Orchard Road is lined with hundreds of eateries & party places and you can see Orchid flowers both outside on streets and inside in posh malls.
Orchard Road has always made happiness its focus! In 1988, the street would close down and become party place called, Swing Singapore. The first Swing Singapore event saw a turnout of 250,000 participants, and enough power to power 50 discos and light up 400 HDB flats.
We bring you the happiness & culture of Singapore through this smell. One should have experienced this scent while walking on Orchard road as the sun goes down in 1840's!
