Jewel Orchid - The scent has beautiful and beneficial notes of lot of Asian plants, including some Orchids - Anoectochilus, Ludisia discolor Macodes petola and more.
Anoectochilus Orchid genome has about 40+ beneficial sub-species. It is used for medicinal, culinary, and ornamental purposes.
They are regularly used in Chinese “old mother’s remedy”. Plants are boiled in water and consumed orally to treat symptoms such as chest and abdominal pains, diabetes, nephritis, fever, hypertension, impotence, liver and spleen disorder, and pleurodynia.
Anoectochilus roxburghii (Orchidaceae) is also known as Jinxianlian and Jinxianlan, is valued very highly in several Asian countries.It has lot of bioactive compounds that are antidiabetic, antilipemic, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, liver protective, renal protective, immunomodulatory, abirritant, sedative, and antineoplastic effects. Scientists in Tokyo also found that wild A. formosanus grown contained ten compounds including kinsenoside, which has hepato-protective properties.
Ludisia discolor is also a therapeutic Orchid and is traditionally used for tuberculous empsyxis, poor appetite, neurasthenia. Oral administration: decocting, 3-9g, fresh products 9-15g in TCM.
Macodes petola (Blume) Lindl. - Indonesian legend says that this magical plant arose from the fragments of a beautiful scarf that belonged to a goddess. It is also called Daun petola.
In purest form, it can be used for eating. However, our scents are designed for fragrances and have other Orchid notes and Aroma Oils as well.
