As the legend goes, there was a cocktail made by bartender for a lady, on request of a commander. At that time, it became popular as “Commander’s Drink” and many people soldiers and civilians asking it to entice their dates. Eventually the cocktail came to be known as "Sling" in Singapore and "Singapore Sling" worldwide.
